The first real test of Mac performance with an Apple processor appears

Developers have been using a Mac with an Apple Silicon processor for a month now, which is actually the A12Z. However, so far there has not been a single real performance test.

Today, a full-fledged Geekbench 5 Pro has been ported to a Mac with an ARM chip , which until then only ran on the iPhone and iPad.

In a single-core test, the Mac scored 1,098 points and in a multi-core test, 4555. By comparison, the base version of the 2020 MacBook Air scores 1005 points in a single-core test and 2,000 in a multi-core test.

Remember, this Mac is for developers only. Apple’s future ARM computers will be much more powerful.

A Mac with an Apple chip was already tested in Geekbench , but then it was launched through virtualization, so it performed poorly. [ 9to5Mac ]
