Putin signed the law on the pre-installation of Russian software on smartphones

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the law on the mandatory pre-installation of Russian software on smartphones, computers and smart TVs.

The exact list of programs and devices will be announced later, it has yet to be compiled by the government. Administrative responsibility is provided for the refusal of a preset: from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles for officials and from 50 thousand to 200 thousand rubles for legal entities.

The document will enter into force on July 1, 2020 . Responsible for its implementation Rospotrebnadzor.
