Apple was unable to sue the class action lawsuit related to the Butterfly keyboard. The company will meet with dissatisfied users in court.
The lawsuit was filed back in May 2018. Apple immediately filed a complaint to get it canceled. But Judge Edward Davila sided with the plaintiffs.
The document said that Apple has developed a “inoperable and unsuitable for normal use” keyboard. Users are sure that the company knew about all the shortcomings of Butterfly, but did not intend to fix them. Free repair is not a solution to the problem, since there is a high probability of repeated failure.
Plaintiffs want Apple to compensate the cost of repairs to all users who repaired the keyboard at their own expense. [ Reuters ]
