Highscreen Max 3 review. Impressions of a popular smartphone

If you have not heard anything about Highscreen, then you are either too young or use only Apple smartphones. Highscreen has been on the Russian smartphone market for 10 years and has been consistently releasing interesting devices from year to year.

What is the sensational Boost 3, which is so loved by music lovers and connoisseurs of long battery life.

Highscreen Max 3. Let’s see what kind of product the company got this time.

Packaging and appearance

The manufacturer did not follow the path beaten by competitors and did not make a box in the shape of a classic brick. The smartphone is packed in a low profile box made of high quality cardboard.

The smartphone is packed reliably enough and is protected by a transport frame made of dense foam. In the box, we also found a silicone case , a clip for the SIM card tray, instructions, a warranty card, a charger with support for Quick Charge 3.0, as well as a cable and a USB type C adapter.

Max 3 received a classic display of 5.93 inches. There is no waterfall technology, a drop-shaped cutout for the front camera, and the camera itself is built into the frame of the screen – no experiments with trends.

On the right side there is a power button, a tray for a SIM card, on the left – a volume rocker. Connector for charging, microphone and multimedia speaker occupied the lower end.

The back cover is very reminiscent of sandpaper “null”, thanks to this the phone sits perfectly in the hand. On the back we see a dual camera module, flash, fingerprint scanner and company logo.

The frame of the smartphone is made of steel , it cools the hand nicely, although it adds weight.

Impressions and Conclusions

Thanks to the 5000 mAh battery, the smartphone brutally holds a charge. With active use, 15-17% still remains in the evening. The steel frame valiantly keeps a blow from scratches without a cover.

The volume of the call and the speaker is enough with a margin even in a noisy place. The interlocutor is heard well, the interlocutor hears you well.

The smartphone also has an NFC module and Qi wireless charging – a great bonus in a budget device. Russia is a country of contactless payments and users will definitely appreciate the opportunity to use Google Pay to the fullest.

You can also replenish the Troika card without any problems.

As an OS, pre-installed “bare” Android 9. Manufacturers are increasingly abandoning branded shells and add-ons. Migrating between smartphones of the same operating system will be much easier.

During the test, the performance of the Helio P35 processor was enough with a margin for everyday tasks.

It is difficult to present any special requirements or claims to the camera in a smartphone of such a price segment. The number of megapixels here does not mean much, as does the second module. It takes some time to focus even in the daytime. If you adapt, then you can sometimes make good shots. Built-in effects are more for show. Software cameras decide a lot and here it is rather weak.
