The program Rockstar found mention of the PC-version of Red Dead Redemption 2

In the source code of the Social Club program from Rockstar Games, we found a reference to the computer version of the console exclusive Red Dead Redemption 2. In particular, Twitter user JakoMako51 stumbled upon the line RDR2_PC_Accomplishments, which can be translated as “PC RDR2 achievements”.

Rumors about the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on personal computers have been around for a long time. At first it was more of a fantasy of studio fans, offended by the lack of a game on the PC. However, over time, hints began to appear from the leadership of Take-Two – the parent company of Rockstar.

In particular, in May, during the quarterly results, the company’s shareholders asked whether Take-Two is going to release RDR 2 on personal computers. The answer was:  “We reserve the right for our labels to talk about future announcements” . So the announcement, if it happens, is worth the wait from Rockstar.
