vivo announced its first smartphone with 5G – iQOO 5G

The vivo company introduced the iQOO 5G smartphone, which became the first 5G smartphone of the brand (if you do not take into account the vivo NEX 5G prototype). The novelty will be on sale in the next three months, but the company does not announce the exact date. iQOO 5G received a Snapdragon 855 processor with an X50 modem. The technology requires placing four antennas against two for LTE smartphones.

In addition, the case had to allocate space for four more antennas – for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In addition, vivo solved the issue with the placement of a capacious battery – 5G communication requires it in increased volumes. Assistance is likely to be provided by the 120-watt charging introduced earlier. It allows you to charge a 4000 mAh battery up to 50% in five minutes and up to 100% in 13 minutes. True, in vivo did not specify whether it supports QOO 5G.

The presentation paid attention to augmented reality, which will become more convenient to use thanks to the technical capabilities of 5G. Also, by reducing the ping gamers will be satisfied. At the event, vivo presented and AR-glasses with HD-screens for AR-games. They connect directly to the phone and do not require the computing power of the intermediary computer.

In vivo, they noted that operators will have to increase traffic for smartphones with 5G support – from 20 conditional gigabytes to 1 terabyte.
