Deadline: Warner Bros. approved Robert Pattinson for the role of Batman in the film Matt Reeves

Pattinson was the favorite director of the upcoming film, while the studio insisted on another actor – Nicholas Holte.

According to Deadline sources, the decision about the actor to the role of Batman was made on May 30. Warner Bros. planned to give the image of Nicholas Holt, who played the Beast in the films about the X-Men, and also played a role in the action movie “Mad Max: Road of Fury.”

However, the director of the future movie about Batman, Matt Reeves, insisted on the candidacy of Robert Pattinson. Film studios auditioned both actors and eventually approved Robert Pattinson for the role of Batman.

According to THR, Warner Bros. is already negotiating with the actor, but it is not yet known whether he agrees to play the role of a superhero.

Robert Pattinson previously played in Good Time, High Society, and Lost City Z. He also received the lead role in Tenet – the upcoming film by Christopher Nolan – and portrayed one of the central characters in the horror “Mayak” from the director “The Witches”.

Matt Reeves’s Batman, according to the director, will show the superhero as the greatest detective story. The atmosphere of the film will be close to the noir.
