It turns out that the technology of stereo image on computers was in demand until recently. However, it is unlikely fans of 3D remained enough. For this reason, beginning in April 2019, NVIDIA will discontinue support for 3D Vision technology. The latest release of drivers with 3D Vision will be designated as 418, then 3D will sink into oblivion, and those who cannot live without a three-dimensional image will have to stay on that same version 418.
The program 3D Vision Video Player will be available free of charge until the end of 2019, specialized software NVIDIA 3DTV Play will be built into the 418th release for free.
NVIDIA doesn’t name the reasons for refusing 3D Vision support, but it’s not hard to guess that this is due to the low demand for technology and resource optimization (after all, raytracing should be developed)
