A similar project may be preparing to launch the MTS.
Mobile operator Tele2 has launched the gaming platform Cyberhero , where users can stream their games, watch broadcasts of other players and organize e-sports tournaments.
The service is available not only to Tele2 subscribers, but to any users. At least two tournaments with a prize pool of five thousand rubles are held on the site every day, Tele2 said. Available disciplines include PUBG Mobile, Clash Royale and Hearthstone.
On the platform, users can also create their own channels for broadcasting games and publishing videos.
Tele2 launched a test version of Cyberhero in the summer of 2018. In the near future, the operator plans to release a mobile application Cyberhero. The amount of investment in the launch of the project and its audience in Tele2 is not disclosed.
In February 2019, Viktor Loginov, author of the telegram-channel of “This Interfaces”, drew attention to the fact that MTS is preparing its service for broadcasting games – it was called WASD . Now the project is in the stage of closed beta test. The WASD User Agreement states that the service is developing MTS. The representative of the operator declined to comment.
According to the company NewZoo, which is engaged in gaming and cybersport analytics, in 2018, Russia ranked third in the world in terms of cyberspace audiences — the number of viewers reached 22 million.
